Our Story

Built Through Hands-On Experience

Abrams Builders was built through hands-on experience constructing, renovating and restoring existing residential buildings in Boston and the surrounding suburbs. Founder Matthew Abrams began by renovating and restoring historic buildings including single family homes, brownstones and turn of the century mill buildings into timeless quality housing.

That foundation evolved into a residential practice focused mostly on renovation, restoration, and modernization of single-family homes, as well as selective new construction projects throughout Boston and the surrounding suburbs.

Matthew brings nearly 30 years of residential construction and renovation experience in Boston and surrounding areas. He holds credentials as a licensed general contractor, real estate broker, and LEED-accredited professional. His expertise spans single-family renovations, historic rehabilitation, new construction and selective commercial projects. His approach emphasizes understanding existing buildings, strong design sensibility, and blending classic architectural details with modern updates.
